Going To See The Other Guys

On the 9th of October my family went to the movies. Josh, Kieran and I watched the other guys. Dad and Tara watched Despicable me.
My family was waiting in line to get the tickets and food. We got our food and went into the cinemas. We watched the ads then the movie started. There are two guys they are chasing these robbers and they did a jump and crashed into a double Decca bus and one of the guys said” did someone call 911 holey S**T”. Then the two guys were chasing robbers and the robbers were professional. The two guys ended up on the top of a building and one said” head for the bushes” so they jump off the building and there was no bushes and they died. Then these nerds (two) people are getting bullied and they tease one of them to do a office pop (that means to get your gun out and shoot his gun) so he shot and all the other cops pulled out there guns and aimed at him. He had to go to the boss and he got his real gun token off him and got given a wooden gun that doesn’t shoot. They were going to a police chase and one of the nerd pulled out his wooden gun and one of the guys said” that is a wooden gun that can’t do much damage” and smacked the passenger in the face with the wooden gun. One of the nerd guys were turning into a city hero for protecting a billionaire. The guys that were protecting the billionaire were getting chased by a helicopter and a gunner was shooting and the other guys were getting shot from the helicopter and the other guys hopped out and ran to were the golf ball people were hitting the car then they said” I am a cop don’t us hit the helicopter” so they did hit the gunner and the pilot got hit and they crashed and helicopter got hit and it exploded.

Coming back to School On Monday the 10th October. Tokomaru School came back from the
Holidays. All of us saw our friends we were happy to see them.
Running Skills.
Tokomaru School goes out to the top court to do running skills. I learnt how to do different running skills of running.
Reading Procedures.
Room 6 has been doing Reading procedures. Reading procedures are like recipe and you got to make the thing you want to do in a book. The first thing you do is to read the title and see if you like it then you read the materials/ingredients. Then the stages. We write on other peoples blogs and put comments.
Maths
Room 6 have been reading compass.
First Aid
We also have been doing first aid in the library. I haven’t learnt anything yet but I hope in the 8 session. Our teacher is Carmen from the fire station.

How This Week Has Been

This week we have done a some of work during these past few days. We have done discovery time on monday this week. The year 7-8 went to technolgy in Foxton in the morning.

Last week of the term

This week is the last week of term. We will get two weeks break and we will be back to school on Monday 11th of October 2010 have a fun holiday and have a safe one.

Fractions Story

A Fraction is a part of a whole number. A denominator is the bottom number for a fraction because d is for down. The numerator is the number as the top number and it is how many pieces were selected. For an example 5/6+1/6= 6/6 is 1 whole. There is 3 types of fractions there is Normal fraction, Top heavy fractions and mixed fractions. If you can split an object or a shape into equal sides it will be a fraction.

The Land Of The 7 Dwarfs

Once upon a time lived a king, 7 dwarfs and a young lady. The dwarfs and the young lady lived far far away in the e Forrest in a hut. The king Once upon a time in year 1000 there was a live in a big flash castle.
The king and the 7 dwarfs were best friends then the king left the 7 dwarfs then never saw them for 24 years. The 7 dwarfs had a beautiful young girl and she grew up as a nice lady and her favourite thing is to do house work.
The king wants to rule the land but the 7 dwarfs declined from getting the land taken away from them. The dwarfs made a deal with the king and one dwarf said” we will give you the land and we get to live in the castle with a room to our self and we get to live like you” said the dwarf. The king accepted and he said “let’s go out and celebrate”. When the dwarfs and the young lady moved into the castle the young lady and the king got married. And they lived happily ever after.

Cultural Festival 2010

Waiting backstage for the Kapa Haka to finish. Giraffes can’t dance presented by Tokomaru school echoed across the stage. I got scared my heart was beating like a speaker letting a lot of sound. We started to do the conga after it was announced by grace. Warthogs started waltzing the music played I started to walk on the stage fast. I wanted it over fast because I looked silly, in my costume because my top was tucked into my pants how uncool. It felt like it was internality long. Everyone started to clap but I nearly let out a burst of laughter.

My Grandad

MY GRANDAD
My grandad,.................., has smokey blue eyes with shinny white hair. We call grandad, Poppa. He always wears checked tops and blue jeans and a hat to match. Poppa is like me, small and skinny. He is also really nice and funny and is the best grandad in the whole wide world. Poppa likes his hair curled on his left side to protect his bold spot.
My grandad has little chicken legs. Grandad wears his top tucked into his pants and he wears his pants up to the bottom of his stomach. This makes him look even smaller.
Poppa likes to make himself busy by doing jobs around the house like gardening, building and cutting wood. Sometimes he will do odd jobs for other people.
My grandad is always feeling happy and most of the time laughing. Poppa’s favourite line is “Bloody thou”.
Everyday poppa has the same routine, he wakes up at about 6.00, finishes work at 2.30pm, and has a shower and goes to the pub and has 2 large jugs of beer (Tui, I think) then he drives home in time for dinner.
My grandad is the best grandad in the whole wide world!!!
